FAQs
Our barrows are officially rated to carry up to 100kg, as this is the weight they’ve been rigorously tested to handle. That said, we know some anglers have pushed the limits and carried more—but for optimal performance and longevity, we recommend sticking within the 100kg limit.
All our Power Porters use the same high-quality motor and electronics, so performance remains consistent across the range. There’s no single ‘best’ model – it’s all about choosing the design that best suits your fishing style and needs.
What are the benefits of a Power Porter?
In short, Power Porters take all the hassle out of getting to and from your swim. They let you carry more gear, move quicker, and make the whole experience much more enjoyable. They can also be a game-changer for anglers with health issues, allowing the barrow to take the strain instead of you.
It’s difficult to give an exact figure, as range depends on various factors like terrain, load weight, and battery condition. However, we can confidently say that a Power Porter has more than enough battery life to comfortably get you through your session.
Contrary to popular belief you don’t need a van to be able to make use of a Power Porter. They are designed to be easy to disassemble and compact in storage, making them suitable for most cars.
All you really need to do is keep the batteries charged. The bearings are lifetime sealed, and the drive train requires no maintenance. For peace of mind, we offer re-build services, but there’s no routine upkeep you need to worry about.
